That was some party. He was exhausted. He saw the light on in the living room. She left it on again, he thought and shook his head. "Honey? Honey? You left the light on again." No answer. He strode into the living room and stopped dead in his tracks. He felt like he had transported into another dimension.  Now he knew what it felt like to have a scream die in your throat. Well maybe not. What did that mean anyway?  He had nightmares like this. He'd try to scream and call for help, but could not make a sound above a whisper. HIs wife always had to shake him awake.  The bear stared at him. No, it was more of a gaze, A gaze?? He was losing it.  The bear shifted slightly, and he fainted.

Painting Process

I had the idea of "The Three Bears" and how they all had chairs. I really did not mean this to look silly but I suppose it kind of does since a bear would not really sit like that would it? I liked the idea of a bear coming into the house and finding a chair to sit on. I wanted old photos, diplomas etc on the wall to give the presence of lives of people. I regretted drawing so many frames though because it took me a long time to fill all of them. What started out as fun turned into dread at having X amount more to fill.

The back wall was painted so many different colors before I decided on the bright green. And I still on occasion had contemplated going back in and re painting it a different color,  BUt I'm alright with it now. My style has changed since I did this painting and I think having the bear right in the middle is problematic as well as other things. But with all my misgivings I am ironically fond of this painting and use it as the wallpaper on my phone.

****Framed work does not include glass or plexiglass. Framed prints come with an acrylic face - looks like a thin clear sheet.  Matted  prints also come with this acrylic face. It looks good though and the art prints are really very nice. Looks almost like an original! I was impressed!
